Join Us for CLAM (Community Lunch After Mass)

Next  CLAM – August 8 after the 10am Mass 

What to bring: a main dish, salad, side dish or dessert to share. If everyone brings something (ready made items from the supermarket are fine!), then we will be sure to have enough food to go around and to share with our visitors. Drinks will be provided.  We gather in the backyard adjacent to the Chapel.  If you can volunteer to help with set-up and tear-down or with brining drinks, please contact Ken Shackel at kashackel@undavis.edu

Interested in Serving on the Pastoral Council or the Student Council??


The Pastoral Council serves as the visioning group for the Newman Community and is made up of both students and community members.
The Pastoral Council usually meets once a month, oftern after the 11:00am Mass. This group has responsibility for implementing the
Pastoral Plan; for considering issues// concerns the community has expressed; and to ensure good communications with all of the Newman family.
Contact Ken Shackel, chair (kashackel@ucdavis.edu) or Deacon Clark (cgoecker@davisnewman.org) if you are interested in serving on
the Pastoral Council.

The Student Council is the group of students who identify and undertake the many activities, retreats, social functions and spiritual life
of the Newman Center. Working with the student satff, the Student Council helps to form the programs/activities for the 2010-2011 academic
year. The Student Council usually meets once a month on a Friday early evening. If you are interested in serving on the Student Council,
please contact the staff at staff@davisnewman.org.

Want to Make a Difference?

Be a part of the 2010 South Central Los Angeles Community Service Project December 12-18, 2010. Join with other Newman students to make a difference in the lives of many people who are marginalized in south central Los Angeles. The student coordinators have begun planning for the trip so if you are interested in learning more about this important social justice activity please contact Annah Lee at anhlee@ucdavis.edu or staff@davisnewman.org
